About This Role

Business System Analyst (Senior, Contract) Location: Las Vegas, NV | On-Site | Long-Term Contract --- About the Company A leading banking data platforms company, this organization sits at the intersection of financial services and enterprise-scale data infrastructure. They build and maintain the analytical systems that power critical risk and business intelligence functions across the institution. Joining this team means contributing to high-impact work that directly shapes how data-driven decisions are made at an enterprise level. --- The Role This is a senior-level, on-site contract opportunity for an experienced Business System Analyst who thrives at the crossroads of business strategy and technical execution. You will serve as the connective tissue between risk-focused business stakeholders and a sophisticated enterprise data platform — translating complex requirements into actionable development priorities, driving Agile ceremonies, and owning the full lifecycle of analytical data initiatives. If you bring deep technical fluency, strong stakeholder management instincts, and a passion for structured delivery, this role offers a compelling long-term engagement in a fast-moving environment. --- What You Will Do Stakeholder Engagement and Requirements Management - Partner with risk department stakeholders to gather, document, and refine business requirements related to model scoring and data ingestion workflows - Identify and resolve requirement gaps through close collaboration with business teams before development begins - Coordinate post-production validation activities with business owners and secure formal sign-offs to close out deliverables - Serve as the primary point of contact between business units and the enterprise data platform team throughout the project lifecycle Intake Management and Delivery Coordination - Own and manage the full intake pipeline, working alongside technical leads to prioritize development work against team capacity - Actively coordinate across development and QA teams during implementation phases to keep delivery on track - Execute user acceptance testing upon development completion, ensuring outputs meet business expectations before production release - Manage JIRA Initiatives from creation through to closure, maintaining clear status visibility for all stakeholders Platform Support and Validation - Maintain a structured backlog of KPIs related to platform upgrades and ongoing support activities - Conduct weekly reviews of platform deployments and associated artifacts, providing formal sign-off to advance work through the pipeline Agile Facilitation - Lead Scrum ceremonies across multiple teams, including daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives - Produce and distribute regular Scrum reporting to leadership, keeping stakeholders informed on team velocity, blockers, and delivery progress --- What We Are Looking For • 12+ years of IT experience post bachelor's degree • Proven expertise in business system analysis and requirements documentation • Hands-on experience with UAT planning and execution • Strong command of SQL for data validation and analysis • Experience with Snowflake as a data warehousing platform • Demonstrated knowledge of data ingestion processes and pipelines • Familiarity with risk modeling concepts and related data workflows • Proficiency in JIRA for initiative tracking and backlog management • Solid Agile/Scrum background, including Scrum Master facilitation The ideal candidate brings over a decade of experience navigating complex, cross-functional IT environments where business needs and technical delivery must be carefully balanced. You are equally comfortable running a sprint retrospective as you are writing a SQL query to validate ingested data in a cloud warehouse. This role demands someone who can hold the big picture — managing intake priorities, stakeholder relationships, and platform health — while staying precise in the details of UAT execution and JIRA lifecycle management. A background that spans both analytical data platforms and structured Agile delivery will set you apart. --- Nice to Have • Experience in banking or financial services environments • Familiarity with Hue and Trino for data querying and exploration • Exposure to Airflow for workflow orchestration and pipeline scheduling • Working knowledge of MINIO or similar object storage solutions Candidates who have worked within regulated financial services environments will find the context of this role immediately familiar, particularly around risk data governance and model validation workflows. Experience with tools like Airflow and Trino suggests a candidate who has operated within mature, multi-tool data ecosystems — a strong signal of readiness for the complexity this platform presents. These additional competencies are not required to succeed, but they will accelerate your contribution from day one. --- What We Offer This is a long-term on-site contract engagement based in Las Vegas, NV, with a Monday through Friday schedule that provides structure and consistency. You will be embedded within a high-caliber data platform team, gaining deep exposure to enterprise-scale banking data infrastructure and risk analytics systems. The scope of this role — spanning stakeholder management, Agile leadership, and hands-on data validation — offers meaningful professional breadth and the opportunity to make a visible impact on critical financial data operations.
