The Role
This is an opportunity for a seasoned estimating professional to take ownership of the full bid lifecycle on electrical and low-voltage construction projects. Based on-site in Grove City, OH — a practical location for candidates commuting from Columbus, Galloway, Hilliard, Harrisburg, and surrounding Franklin County communities — you will be a key contributor to the company's business development efforts. What You Will Do
• Develop thorough, accurate cost estimates for electrical and low-voltage construction projects from bid documents and specifications
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs covering branch circuits, feeders, lighting systems, devices, and related scope items using on-screen takeoff software
• Maintain organized, precise takeoff data within computerized estimating platforms throughout the project pursuit cycle
• Solicit, review, and negotiate pricing from vendors and subcontractors for materials and specialty systems
• Analyze project plans and bid documents to identify scope gaps, cost risks, and competitive opportunities
• Partner with internal project and operations teams to assemble complete, competitive proposals
• Manage multiple active estimates simultaneously, keeping pace with deadlines and budget targets
• Build and maintain productive working relationships with vendors and subcontractors to achieve favorable project outcomes

What We Are Looking For
• 6+ years of construction estimating experience
• Strong working knowledge of electrical and low-voltage systems
• Hands-on experience with on-screen takeoff software
• Proficiency in computerized estimating platforms
• Demonstrated ability to manage vendor and subcontractor quotations
• Experience analyzing bid documents, plans, and specifications
• Skilled at identifying scope and cost risk early in the bid process
• High mathematical aptitude with exceptional attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

• Direct experience in the electrical construction industry
• Background in commercial construction environments
• Exposure to MEP estimating across multiple trades
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
Candidates who have spent time inside an electrical or MEP contracting environment will find themselves well-positioned to contribute quickly. A formal degree in construction management or engineering is a plus, though demonstrated field knowledge and estimating track record carry equal weight. Experience across multiple construction trades or project types adds valuable perspective to the estimating process and is genuinely appreciated here.
