About This Role

IT Business Analyst – Performance Metrics Contract | Remote | United States ───────────────────────────────────────── ABOUT THE COMPANY A leading IT performance consulting company, our client partners with organizations to elevate the way technology functions are measured, managed, and continuously improved. They operate at the intersection of data-driven strategy and operational excellence, helping enterprise clients unlock the full potential of their IT investments. This is a team that values independent thinkers who thrive in dynamic, ambiguous environments. ───────────────────────────────────────── THE ROLE We are looking for a mid-level IT Business Analyst with a focus on performance metrics to join a high-impact remote team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a central part in defining how IT performance is tracked, interpreted, and improved across a range of functions and services. If you have a sharp analytical mind, a passion for process optimization, and a knack for turning raw data into actionable insight, this opportunity is built for you. ───────────────────────────────────────── WHAT YOU WILL DO You will design and maintain the frameworks used to evaluate IT performance across services, projects, and improvement initiatives — translating organizational strategy into measurable targets. Day to day, your responsibilities will include: • Develop and manage balanced scorecards and performance dashboards that give stakeholders a clear, real-time view of IT health across multiple domains. • Define meaningful metrics and targets for IT functions, services, and ongoing improvement programs, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals. • Monitor performance trends, identify gaps or anomalies, and recommend corrective actions or process enhancements. • Conduct thorough problem analysis to diagnose root causes and document findings in a clear, structured format for both technical and non-technical audiences. • Create and maintain detailed process documentation that supports consistency, knowledge transfer, and continuous improvement. • Work independently to assess situations, determine appropriate courses of action, and escalate thoughtfully when needed. • Collaborate across departments to understand how IT performance connects to segment-level and enterprise-wide objectives. ───────────────────────────────────────── WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR • 3–5 years of technical experience in a business analysis or related role • Demonstrated experience with performance metrics and measurement frameworks • Hands-on experience building balanced scorecards and dashboards • Strong background in process improvement methodologies • Proven ability in problem analysis and root cause identification • Experience producing clear, thorough process documentation • Proficiency across the Microsoft Office Suite • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field The ideal candidate brings a solid foundation in IT-focused business analysis and understands how performance measurement connects to real operational outcomes. You are comfortable working in environments where not every problem comes with a clear playbook, and you take ownership of your work with minimal oversight. Your documentation and analytical skills are sharp enough to communicate complex findings to a wide range of stakeholders, and you are genuinely motivated by the idea of making technology work better for the people who depend on it. ───────────────────────────────────────── NICE TO HAVE • Working knowledge of SQL for data querying • Experience analyzing and presenting complex, multi-source datasets • Strong data storytelling and presentation skills • Six Sigma certification (any belt level) • Creative approach to problem-solving in ambiguous situations Candidates who bring SQL proficiency and experience with complex data analysis will be well-positioned to add immediate value in this role, as the work often involves pulling and interpreting data from multiple systems. A Six Sigma background is a meaningful differentiator, signaling familiarity with structured improvement methodologies that align closely with the team's approach. Above all, we value creative thinkers who can look at a performance challenge from multiple angles and propose solutions that are both practical and forward-thinking. ───────────────────────────────────────── WHAT WE OFFER This is a fully remote contract engagement, giving you the flexibility to do your best work from anywhere in the United States. You will be embedded in a collaborative, intellectually stimulating environment where your contributions directly shape how IT performance is understood and improved at an enterprise level. This role offers meaningful exposure to cross-functional strategy work and the opportunity to deepen your expertise in performance analytics, process optimization, and IT governance — skills that are increasingly in demand across the industry.
