Based in Austin, Texas on a hybrid schedule, you will serve as a technical lead driving the architecture, implementation, and ongoing governance of identity and access management capabilities across a diverse portfolio of platforms and applications. You will work closely with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure that identity controls are consistent, scalable, and aligned with organizational policy. If you bring deep hands-on IAM expertise and a track record of delivering in complex, regulated environments, this role offers the scope and visibility to match your experience. —————————————————————————— What You Will Do - Architect and administer a centralized identity provider framework, configuring single sign-on and multi-factor authentication across enterprise applications using SAML 2.0 and OIDC protocols - Lead the design and enforcement of role-based access control models, ensuring appropriate separation of duties and building out structured access certification campaigns - Manage end-to-end identity lifecycle processes including automated provisioning, de-provisioning, and access modification workflows - Onboard and integrate business applications into the IAM platform via REST API connections and enterprise integration patterns - Administer and extend SailPoint Identity Security Cloud, including user access reviews, application integrations, and governance reporting - Implement and oversee privileged access management controls across critical systems and infrastructure - Develop and maintain automation scripts in PowerShell and Python to streamline provisioning, reporting, and operational tasks - Collaborate with security and IT stakeholders to assess emerging IAM technologies and ensure the environment remains current and well-governed - Maintain thorough technical documentation covering configurations, processes, integrations, and architectural decisions - Provide operational support across directory services, IAM platform components, servers, and associated databases as needed —————————————————————————— What We Are Looking For • 14+ years of overall experience in software development and IAM • 5+ years of IAM experience within a state government agency • Hands-on expertise with SAML 2.0, OIDC, SSO, and MFA configuration • Proven SailPoint Identity Security Cloud administration and integration • RBAC design, implementation, and access governance experience • Identity lifecycle management and automated provisioning workflows • Privileged access management implementation and oversight • REST API integration with enterprise applications • PowerShell and Python scripting for automation and reporting The ideal candidate brings a rare combination of architectural vision and deep operational experience. You have spent years building and governing IAM ecosystems in environments where security, compliance, and uptime are non-negotiable — and you understand the unique constraints and requirements that come with public-sector work. Your background reflects fluency across the full IAM stack: from federation protocols and lifecycle automation to governance platforms and privileged access controls.
