About This Role

OMP Techno-Functional Solution Architect Full-Time | Remote | United States ───────────────────────────────────────── ABOUT THE COMPANY A leading technology company operating at the intersection of global supply chain innovation and enterprise digital transformation. With a footprint spanning multiple continents and a commitment to data-driven operational excellence, this organization is reshaping how complex supply networks are planned, optimized, and executed. Joining this team means contributing to work that has real, measurable impact at a global scale. ───────────────────────────────────────── THE ROLE This is not a conventional platform management role. As an OMP Techno-Functional Solution Architect, you will serve as the definitive authority on the architecture, configuration, and strategic direction of a large-scale supply chain planning environment. You will occupy a rare position at the crossroads of advanced mathematical optimization, enterprise systems integration, and cross-functional business leadership — translating operational complexity into elegant, high-performing technical solutions. If you thrive on solving problems that sit at the edge of what planning technology can do, this role was built for you. ───────────────────────────────────────── WHAT YOU WILL DO Solution Architecture and Strategic Design You will own the end-to-end technical blueprint for a global supply chain planning platform, designing scalable system architectures that accurately reflect real-world enterprise constraints — including multi-echelon inventory structures, capacity limitations, and demand volatility. You will evaluate and govern the selection of appropriate solvers, heuristics, and optimization engines to address production scheduling and S&OP challenges with precision. Critically, you will build platform structures designed to absorb business growth — new facilities, evolving supply models, expanded geographies — without accumulating technical debt. Advanced Configuration and Engineering You will take full ownership of the platform's technical internals: authoring, reviewing, and tuning complex scripting logic, macros, and custom user actions that power planning workflows. Performance is a core responsibility — you will proactively identify and resolve memory constraints, calculation bottlenecks, and data model inefficiencies before they affect business operations. You will also architect the data pipelines connecting the planning platform to external ERP systems, ensuring end-to-end integrity for both master data and transactional flows. Cross-Functional Leadership and Governance You will act as the primary bridge between executive supply chain stakeholders, operational planning teams, and technical developers — translating business intent into system design and system capability into business language. You will define and enforce global configuration standards and documentation practices that bring consistency and quality to the broader implementation team. Your influence will extend well beyond your immediate workstream, shaping how the organization thinks about and governs its planning technology. ───────────────────────────────────────── WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR • 8+ years in supply chain technology implementation • 4+ years as a lead or senior architect on large-scale OMP environments • Advanced proficiency in OPAL scripting, macros, and custom configuration • Deep expertise in data modeling, control tables, and workbook architecture • Proven ERP integration experience, particularly SAP PP/DS, MM, or SD modules • Strong SQL skills and hands-on database performance optimization • Demonstrated success leading at least two full-lifecycle global OMP implementations • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders The ideal candidate brings a rare combination of deep technical craftsmanship and functional supply chain fluency. You have spent years inside large-scale OMP environments — not as a peripheral contributor, but as the person others turn to when the architecture needs to be right. Your background likely spans multiple industries and implementation cycles, giving you the pattern recognition to anticipate problems before they surface and the credibility to influence decisions at the executive level. You are equally comfortable writing complex scripts and presenting solution trade-offs to senior business leaders. ───────────────────────────────────────── NICE TO HAVE • Familiarity with object-oriented programming languages such as Python or C++ • Exposure to Oracle ERP or other enterprise planning ecosystems beyond SAP • Experience designing planning solutions for manufacturing-intensive supply networks • Background in S&OP process design alongside technical implementation work • Familiarity with cloud-based data infrastructure and modern integration patterns Candidates who bring programming depth beyond scripting — particularly in Python or C++ — will find meaningful opportunities to extend the platform's capabilities in ways that go beyond standard configuration. Experience with S&OP process design, not just technical implementation, is a genuine differentiator here, as the role carries real influence over how planning processes are structured and governed. A background that blends functional supply chain knowledge with hands-on technical delivery is the profile that will thrive most in this environment. ───────────────────────────────────────── WHAT WE OFFER This position is fully remote, giving you the flexibility to do your best work from anywhere in the United States while remaining connected to a globally distributed team of supply chain and technology professionals. You will have the opportunity to shape the architectural direction of a mission-critical platform at enterprise scale — a rare level of ownership and influence for a practitioner at this level. The organization is actively investing in its supply chain technology capabilities, meaning there is genuine runway for professional growth, expanded scope, and long-term impact for the right person.
