Oracle Fusion HCM Techno-Functional Expert (Lead) | Remote Contract | United States

About the Company
A leading Oracle HCM implementation company, this organization partners with large-scale public and private sector clients to deliver transformative human capital management solutions. With a reputation for technical excellence and deep Oracle expertise, the team tackles complex, high-impact engagements that modernize how enterprises manage their workforce. This is a place where seasoned professionals are trusted to lead, innovate, and drive meaningful outcomes.

The Role
This is a senior-level contract opportunity for a battle-tested Oracle Fusion HCM professional ready to take full ownership of a demanding, high-visibility engagement. Operating fully remotely, you will serve as the technical and functional authority on a large-scale Oracle HCM Cloud program — guiding architecture decisions, leading configuration and integration work, and ensuring successful delivery from requirements through production. If you bring two decades of Oracle experience and a track record of leading complex HCM programs end to end, this role was built for you.
---
What You Will Do
• Serve as the lead technical and functional voice across all Oracle HCM Cloud workstreams, from initial design through post-go-live support.
• Own configuration and setup across the full HCM suite — including workforce structures, enterprise hierarchies, security roles, approval workflows, and data profiles.
• Architect and build integrations connecting Oracle HCM Cloud to external platforms and legacy systems using Oracle Integration Cloud, REST and SOAP APIs, HDL, HCM Extracts, XML, and related tooling.
• Develop and maintain Fast Formulas to support payroll, absence, and benefits processing logic.
• Build reporting and analytics solutions using OTBI dashboards and BI Publisher, including data conversion and migration assets.
• Lead all phases of the project lifecycle — requirements analysis, technical design, user acceptance testing, regression testing, cutover planning, and ongoing production support.
• Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders, project teams, and vendor partners, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance.
• Provide solution architecture direction for Oracle HCM and broader ERP initiatives, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and long-term scalability.
---
What We Are Looking For
• 20+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle technologies
• 10+ years of dedicated Oracle HCM Cloud experience (required)
• Deep functional expertise across Core HR, Benefits, Payroll, Absence Management, Talent, Performance, Recruiting, and OTL
• Proven integration development experience using OIC, HDL, and HCM Extracts
• Strong command of Fast Formulas, OTBI, and BI Publisher
• Proficiency with REST and SOAP API integrations
• Solid technical foundation in SQL, PL/SQL, XML, JSON, and Oracle databases
• Experience managing enterprise and workforce structures, security, and approval configurations
• Demonstrated success leading full-cycle implementations, upgrades, and production support programs
The ideal candidate is a rare blend of deep technical developer and seasoned functional consultant — someone who can design an integration architecture in the morning and lead a UAT session with business stakeholders in the afternoon. This role demands fluency across the entire Oracle HCM Cloud module landscape, not just one or two areas. Candidates should bring a history of delivering on complex, enterprise-scale programs where the stakes were high and the margin for error was low. A background that spans both Oracle ERP and HCM environments will be a strong advantage.
---
Nice to Have
• Familiarity with PeopleSoft HCM modules and data structures
• Experience integrating Oracle HCM with third-party workforce or financial platforms
Candidates with PeopleSoft HCM knowledge will bring added value to engagements where legacy system coexistence or data migration from older platforms is part of the scope. While not a requirement, this background signals breadth of experience across the Oracle ecosystem and an ability to bridge older architectures with modern cloud environments. If you have supported or led transitions away from PeopleSoft into Oracle HCM Cloud, that experience is particularly relevant here.

• Exposure to a high-profile, large-scale program with meaningful technical and functional complexity
• A collaborative environment where senior expertise is respected and your recommendations carry weight
• Opportunity to expand your portfolio with a marquee engagement that demonstrates leadership across the full Oracle HCM Cloud suite
