THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to join a dynamic IT delivery team on a hybrid contract engagement based in Pontiac, MI. In this role, you will take ownership of one or more concurrent IT projects — guiding them from initial planning through successful delivery. You will serve as the connective tissue between technical teams and the business stakeholders requesting the work, keeping everyone aligned, on schedule, and within scope.
This position requires two days per week onsite in Pontiac and is ideal for a hands-on project leader who thrives in structured environments while remaining agile enough to adapt when priorities shift.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Lead end-to-end project delivery across the full project lifecycle
• Build and coordinate cross-functional project teams, assigning clear roles and responsibilities
• Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project schedules and budgets
• Identify resource needs and work with leadership to secure appropriate staffing and tools
• Monitor project progress, manage risks, and proactively address issues before they escalate
• Act as the primary liaison between technical team members and the functional areas driving project requests
• Maintain project documentation, status reports, and collaboration workspaces using Microsoft 365 tools
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and ensure delivery practices align with team and organizational standards

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• 5+ years of IT project management experience
• Hands-on experience with CA Clarity Portfolio Management
• Proficiency in MS Project for scheduling and tracking
• Working knowledge of Azure DevOps for task and workflow management
• Experience applying Agile methodologies in a project delivery context
• Proficiency in SharePoint Online for documentation and collaboration
• MS Visio skills for process and workflow diagramming
• Demonstrated ability to manage project budgets and resource planning
• Local to the Pontiac, MI area
The ideal candidate brings a well-rounded project management background with direct experience navigating complex IT environments and multiple stakeholder groups. You are comfortable owning a project schedule in MS Project while simultaneously tracking team activity in Azure DevOps and keeping documentation current in SharePoint Online. CA Clarity experience is essential — this tool sits at the center of portfolio visibility for this team, and you should be able to use it confidently from day one. Strong communicators who can translate technical progress into clear business updates will stand out in this role.

NICE TO HAVE
• Prior experience managing cybersecurity-focused IT projects
• Familiarity with government or public-sector IT delivery environments
Candidates who have managed cybersecurity initiatives bring an added layer of value to this engagement, where data integrity and system security are ongoing priorities. Experience working within regulated or compliance-driven environments — particularly in the public sector — will help you ramp up quickly and earn stakeholder trust. While not required, these backgrounds signal the kind of judgment and risk awareness this team appreciates.
