About This Role

Speech Language Pathologist (Contract) | Multiple Locations Nationwide ——————————————————————— About the Company A leading geriatric rehabilitation company, this organization has built its reputation on delivering exceptional, patient-centered care across a broad network of skilled nursing, post-acute, and long-term care facilities. Their multidisciplinary teams are united by a shared commitment to restoring function, dignity, and quality of life for older adults. With a presence spanning communities across the country, they offer clinicians the opportunity to make a meaningful impact at scale. ——————————————————————— The Role This is a contract, on-site Speech Language Pathologist opportunity available across a wide range of facility locations throughout the United States, including sites in California, Colorado, Georgia, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, West Virginia, and North Carolina. Clinicians in this role work directly with geriatric populations, providing evaluation and therapeutic services that address speech, language, and swallowing challenges. If you are a dedicated SLP who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced rehabilitation environment and is passionate about improving outcomes for older adults, this role is an excellent fit. ——————————————————————— What You Will Do As a contracted Speech Language Pathologist, you will serve as a core clinical resource within your assigned facility, working alongside physicians, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: • Conduct thorough speech, language, and swallowing evaluations for geriatric patients • Design and implement individualized, goal-driven treatment plans • Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions targeting communication and swallowing deficits • Collaborate actively with interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate patient care • Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory standards • Monitor patient progress on an ongoing basis and adjust treatment approaches accordingly • Participate in weekend rotation schedules as required by facility needs ——————————————————————— What We Are Looking For • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology • Active state SLP licensure, or eligibility to obtain licensure • 2+ years of clinical experience in speech-language pathology • Demonstrated proficiency in dysphagia assessment and treatment • Experience conducting formal speech and language evaluations • Skilled in developing individualized, patient-centered treatment plans • Strong clinical documentation practices • Comfort working on-site in skilled nursing or post-acute care settings The ideal candidate brings at least two years of hands-on clinical experience and is confident working independently within a geriatric care environment. This role demands a clinician who can move fluidly between evaluation, treatment, and documentation while maintaining a high standard of care for a complex patient population. A background in post-acute or long-term care settings is strongly preferred, as the pace and patient acuity in these environments require both clinical precision and adaptability. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across disciplines are essential to success in this position. ——————————————————————— Nice to Have • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) • Experience working with patients living with dementia • Flexibility to participate in weekend rotation schedules Candidates who hold the CCC-SLP credential bring an added layer of clinical credibility and are well-positioned to handle the breadth of cases encountered in geriatric rehabilitation settings. Experience with dementia populations is particularly valuable, as many patients across these facilities present with cognitive-communication disorders alongside physical rehabilitation needs. Clinicians who are open to weekend availability will find themselves well-suited to the scheduling structure of this role and may have greater flexibility in facility placement. ——————————————————————— What We Offer • On-site contract positions across a diverse, nationwide network of facilities • Exposure to a wide variety of geriatric patient presentations and clinical cases • A collaborative, multidisciplinary work environment with strong team support • Opportunities to deepen clinical expertise in post-acute and long-term care settings • Professional growth through consistent, high-volume caseloads and complex case exposure • The chance to contribute meaningfully to the lives of older adults across multiple communities
